Odissi the oldest classical Indian dance form, originating from the state of Odisha (formerly Orissa). Traditionally, Odissi was performed in temples in praise of Lord Jagannath, but since the revival in the 1950s, has gained recognition on the public stage. I have been learning and performing Odissi since 2002, under the instruction of the following Gurus and teachers, who all were disciples of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra:

Asako Takami — Pallavi Dance Group

Uday Kumar Shetty — Kalatheera Odissi Dance School

Niharika Mohanty — Guru Shradha Odissi Dance School

Sujata & Ratikant Mohapatra — Srjan Odissi Dance School

Aparupa Chatterjee — Odissi Dance Company
